It's a peaceful and tranquil atmosphere, hills covered with rich flora and fauna are what attract the crowd all year round. The pleasant weather, mist-covered coffee plantations and pure air of Coorg is only 260 km from Bangalore and among the best places to take an overnight bus journey from Bangalore.

Covering the total road distance within a period of 6 hours, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has direct buses operating on this route. One can board the bus in Bangalore from the Kempegowda Bus Station; the passengers eventually having to de-board the bus at the KSRTC Bus Station, Madikeri.

A few places to visit in Coorg are the Namdroling Monastery, the Golden Temple, Talakaveri, Raja's Seat, Abbey Falls, Dubare Elephant Camp, Nagarhole National Park, and Irpu Falls.

There are two options to reach Ooty by bus from Bangalore. You can board a bus for Gundlupet and reach in 5 hours and from there you can hire a taxi for Ooty

It takes roughly 8-11 hours to reach the scenic hill station. There are several options available if you are planning to take a bus. Bus services like KPN, Greenline travels and holidays, JTV Travels, SRS Travels, and KSRTC are the buses that leave Bangalore late in the evening and reach Kodaikanal the next day, morning.

A few places to visit in the town are the Kodaikanal Lake, Berijam Lake, Coaker's Walk, Kurunji Andavar Temple, Bryant Park, Chettiar Park, Shembaganur Museum of Natural Historical, Silent Valley View Point, and Guna Cave.
