Located in sector 16 of Chandigarh, Rose Garden is a blooming garden which showcases nature at its best. It is the largest garden of its kind in Asia and was built in the year 1967 under the guidance of the First Chief Commissioner, MS Randhawa. Named after India's former president Zakir Hussain, the Rose Garden is also known as Zakir Hussain Rose Garden.

The other major attraction of the garden is more than 32,500 varieties of trees and medicinal plants. The natural beauty of this garden is only enhanced by the presence of azure mountains in the background. A beautifully laid down fountain is also placed in the midst of the Rose Garden.
