There is no single answer, but Bali is the most booked international destination for Indian travellers on Holidify and the easiest all-rounder: beaches, Hindu temples, volcano hikes and good food on one island, at Southeast Asian prices.
Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Indonesia and Sri Lanka are the cheapest to reach and the cheapest once you land. Bangkok and Phuket are about four hours direct and Hanoi about five, so less of the budget goes on airfare.
The Maldives, Mauritius, Seychelles, Indonesia and Thailand currently allow Indian passport holders to enter visa free or get a visa on arrival, and the UAE and Hong Kong need only an online application. Schengen Europe, the UK, the US and Australia all take weeks or months. Check the current rules before you book.
It depends on the hemisphere. Europe, Japan and Iceland are best April to October. Southeast Asia, the Maldives and Dubai are best November to March. The East African safari season runs July to October, and Australia and New Zealand run November to April.
Dubai, Singapore and Hong Kong work as three or four day breaks. Bali, Thailand, the Maldives and Vietnam need five to seven days. Europe, Japan, Egypt and Kenya sit at eight to twelve. New Zealand, Peru and Costa Rica need two weeks or more, mostly because of the flying time.
