Lumbini Gardens

The Lumbini Garden is mainly an amusement park with dry as well as water rides. The park is also a picnic spot for families and a great retreat from a busy week. The main attractions of the garden include a wave pool, various rides, boating in the lake (there are several kinds of fun boating options), water activities etc. Apart from these, there is a 25-foot high statue of Buddha and a clock tower resembling the Big Ben in London inside the park.

1. Wave Pool: The wave pool consists of an artificial beach with a pool. It is one of the major attractions of the place as it offers people the experience of visiting a beach without actually going out to the sea. The waves in the pool are gentle so that people can take a dip without any problem. As an additional safety measure, a team of lifeguards are kept on vigil near the pool. The100 meter long wave pool also consists of a water slide for the amusement of the young visitors. There are decent changing rooms near the pools where visitors can change into their swimwear if they want.

2. Boating: Lumbini gardens offer various kinds of boat rides on the Nagavara Lake like pedal boats, general boats, battery boats, coffee boats etc. 2-seater, 3-seater and family boats can be booked for various time slots. For the more adventurous visitor, jet skis are also available.

3. Kid's Rides: The Lumbini garden is a place to visit with family. Therefore, not only does it have the wave pool and the garden for adults to relax but also various rides for the kids to enjoy. As mentioned before, the wave pool has a water slide, and the lake has facilities for jet-skiing. The dry rides include merry-go-rounds, toy trains, battery operated cars, twirling vortex fantasy ride, Spanish bullfight rides, trampoline, caterpillar ride, Columbus ride, breakdance ride, pirate ship, bouncy ride.

The Lumbini Gardens can be rented to host parties, events and picnics. There is also a party hall facing the lake for hosting such events. The garden also organises carnivals from time to time.

The following should be noted while visiting Lumbini gardens:
1. Food from outside is not allowed inside the garden.
2. Inspite of lifeguards, the visitors should wear the lifejackets while enjoying water rides.

The nearest railway station to Lumbini Gardens is Yesvantpur Railway Station which is 6 km away from Lumbini Gardens. Then by hired vehicle, the garden can be reached easily. The nearest airport to Lumbini Gardens is Bengaluru International Airport which is 25 km away from Lumbini Gardens.

The garden is located in the centre of the city. Therefore, it can be accessed through cabs, buses or autorickshaws from any part of the city.
