1. Take care of your belongings, especially during the peak hours.
2. You might want to avoid visiting the place on weekends as it is very crowded.
3. Make sure you bargain as prices can go down a pretty good margin. A good thumb rule would be to begin the bargaining at least half the quoted price and buy at no more than 75% of that price.
4. If you are a foreigner, the price quoted to you will be at least double of what is quoted to a local. The best way to avoid this is to go with a local. You can also approach nearby local shoppers, and quite a few will be happy to help you bargain.
5. Make sure you look for any defects or imperfections in the goods that you buy when you are buying them. Goods once sold cannot be returned.
6. Rejects from major brands are sold here, so don't forget to check those collections out!

Private cabs, buses and auto rickshaws should be taken to reach Commercial Street. Try to take a cab to reach here or else you'll find yourself struggling to find a place to park your own vehicle. If you wish to take the metro to Commercial Street, you should get off at Mahatma Gandhi Road, Cubbon Park or Trinity and take an auto from there.

Perfect spot for shopaholics. Wanna have the great shopping experience at a reasonable cost? If yes then this is the right place. You can find a number of clothing stores, antiques, restaurants and lots more. This provides you with plenty of options to look around and shop. Indeed a great window shopping experience. Also, the place is always crowded.

A destination stop for all your shopping woes, but only and only if you really know how to bargain your way around these shopkeepers who have established a stronghold in central Bangalore when it comes to local buying. Commercial Street offers a variety of products and services, from earrings to dresses to saris to curtains to sofa covers to antique house decorations, Commercial Street has it all. It is beneficial if you walk around Commercial Street because its jam-packed at all times. I would also recommend you to be aware of pick-pocketers and to keep your valuables safe and under your eye.
