Documents required for AL1 countries

  • Appropriately filled visa application form 14A and also signed by yourself. You can get the way at this link www.ica.gov.sg
  • A valid passport containing at least six months validity on the date of entry in Singapore
  • Two bright passports sized photographs which have been taken before three months
  • The Letter of Introduction (Form V39A) for Visa Application (LOI) could also be required. You can get the form at this link www.ica.gov.sg
  • The local address or the local contact in Singapore must either be a Singapore citizen or a Singapore permanent resident who must be at least 21 years old. Also, for a business-related entry visa, the local contact must be acting on behalf of the Singapore-registered business entity.

  • Appropriately filled visa application form 14A and also signed by yourself. You can get the way at this link www.ica.gov.sg
  • A valid passport containing at least six months validity on the date of entry in Singapore
  • Two passports sized photographs which have been taken before three months

 How to Apply for Online Visa to Singapore

According to the Singapore High Commission, the application for an online visa for Singapore submitted through the only authorised agents or websites would only be accepted from 1st April 2009. Also, having a local sponsor in Singapore can make your task more comfortable if he/she has a SingPass account. He/she can apply for your online visa and the payment modes accepted are Master/Visa Debit and Credit cards only.

The complete procedure requires the following steps

  • Visit any of the above mentioned authorised websites for online visa application to Singapore
  • Fill all the necessary credentials in the 14A form. Also, fill the V39A form from the links mentioned above. 
  • After, filling all necessary credentials, enter your valid e-mail id as this would be required for verification. Also, your visa application pdf would be sent to this e-mail id.
  • Proceed to payment with a Master/Visa Credit or Debit card or even with a PayPal account.
For AL1 countries, the time required to process and approve your application can take up to 3 working days. For AL2 countries it takes around 5-7 working days usually. Also, the maximum stay for the tourists' visa is 30 days.

The fees required for the online application is around USD 20 - USD 30, including an added service fee of USD 5. Also, note that the charges are not refundable even if you wish to withdraw your application or even if your application has been rejected.

Proceed with the following steps to check your status for the online visa for Singapore once you have completed with filling your application
  • Visit the Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) website at www.ica.gov.sg
  • At ICA homepage, scroll down to section Frequently Accessed eServices and click on Visa(SAVE)
  • Scroll down and click Status Enquiry
  • Enter your application reference number (which you have received on your e-mail while you have applied at any authorised website) and the travel document number
  • If your application is approved, click on proceed to get a print out of your e-Visa. Alternatively, the application status could also be checked at the authorised websites at which you have applied. Also once approved, your e-Visa would be sent to your e-mail as a pdf.

Cancellation or Withdrawal of e-Visa

The complete application procedure, including service charges by the authorised website, includes fees of 35 USD. However, it is mentioned in the refund policies that no refunds will be entertained in either case, including cancellation by the client or rejection of an application by the government.
