7 Golf Courses in Phuket That Every Golfer MUST Visit

For all those who have been to Phuket will unanimously agree to the fact that Phuket is much more than a big and beautiful island in the Andaman Sea. 1. Red Mountain Golf Course

The Red Mountain Golf Course is one of the most famous golf courses in Phuket. It is located near another top-rated course, the Loch Palm Golf Course. The topography of this golf course consists mainly of red soil, granite rock pieces and that is how it got its name, Red Mountain.

This golf course is situated a little far from the city limits of Phuket, giving this place a sense of serenity and peace. The clubhouse has recently been rebuilt and sports a very modern look with a terrace overlooking the entire course.
Club Facilities: The facilities provided here include a putting green, locker room to store all your personal belongings, a golf cart and caddie. Apart from this, there is also a pro shop, in case you want to make any purchase and a restaurant that serves delicious Thai and international cuisine.

2. Loch Palm Beach

The Loch Palm Beach is another popular golf course in Phuket. This particular golf course is designed by Dr Sukitti Klangwisai, a renowned architect in Asia. The golf course opened in November of 1988 and has been a favourite among locals and tourists alike.

The golf course is similar to the red mountain golf course and has 18 holes. This place is surrounded with a few loch green trees hence how the golf course got its name.  The clubhouse is also quite modern and is a bliss to be in.
Club Facilities: In conjunction with the scenic golf course, there is a unique and modern style clubhouse. The food served here is of Thai & International cuisine. The restaurant overlooks the driving range as well as the lake. The clubhouse also has a fully-stocked modern Pro shop which also houses the entire collection of Loch Palm souvenirs. Golf cart and caddie service is also available for members.

3. Laguna Phuket Golf Club

Laguna golf course is yet another excellent golf course in Phuket. It is rather small sized in comparison to the other ones. The course also has 18 holes. The Laguna golf course has a total of 395 members and around 300 caddies, meaning that you are never to be short of help.

Nevertheless, it is a beautiful golf course and flanked by loads of golfers throughout the year. Another significant advantage of this golf course is that it is situated near the Banyan Tree Resort. Transportation for guests of the particular resort is free.

Laguna Golf Phuket houses a vast driving range with fairway bunker facilities for short games. There are also three putting/pitching/bunker greens on site. This particular gold club also has its academy, which is called the Laguna Golf Academy. It is one of the most prestigious golf academies in town has dedicated PGA instructors and extensive practice facilities.

These golf courses in Phuket are the best places for those who love being challenged. Regarded as one of the best in Asia, this golf course is set over a vast 730-acre plot and overlooks the beautiful hills of Phuket.

It is also closely situated near the Jinda Resort. The guests of this resort are provided with free transportation to the golf course as well as the airport. The two courses are located close to the airport and are only a few minutes away.

Established in 1989, Phuket Country Club is one of the oldest golf courses in Phuket. It features an 18 hole course which is perfect for beginners and professionals. The golf course is also very unique and has different landscapes across the golf course. A large part of the golf course runs through forests, flat country and hills.

The golf course is also very challenging and is renovated every year to bring in something new. Water also comes into play here, which not only challenges the golfers but is also very fun.
Club Facilities: Phuket Country Club has a beautiful clubhouse which boasts of spacious locker rooms and a fully stocked Pro-shop. Phuket Country Club also has several experienced caddies and golf carts for your ease. 7. Katathong Golf Resort and Spa

Established in 2015, this golf course in Phuket was built on an open cast mining lot. It is situated north of Phuket and is flanked with breathtaking natural elements like waterfalls, streams and a low contoured area. This feature makes it a challenging course for people who look to golf here. With the resort and spa, one can not worry about the commute to the course as much, but rather spend a leisurely day or two at the resort. They have a massive clubhouse that's designed in the Sino-Portuguese style and has all the modern amenities a typical golf resort must-have. With the spa facilities here, you can unwind after a long game with a gentle calming massage.
