Parks in Bali

Established in 1959, Bali Botanic Garden, also known as Kebun Raya Bedugul, is very popular among locals as well as tourists and is one of the most visited parks in Bali. Spread over 154 hectares, here, you can witness few of the world’s rarest species of plants.

West Bali National Park houses over 160 different species of birds, including the exotic white Bali Starling. Some of the other species found in this park include the wild bull, Dollarbird, Java sparrow, Sacred Kingfisher, Wild Boar, flying fox and many more. This national park in Bali also shelters a large variety of rare and near-extinct marine creatures.

The Bali Bird Park at Batubulan is laid out as walk-through aviaries by region, so you cross from Papua to Borneo to South America over two hectares, with around 250 species in all. The adjoining Rimba Reptile Park covers snakes, crocodiles and a Komodo dragon. It also breeds the Bali starling, the island's own bird and one of the rarest anywhere.

Bali Butterfly Park is an insect and butterfly conservatory, which houses a wide variety of different unique species of insects and butterflies. Spread over 3000 square meters, this park is the largest insect and butterfly conservatory in Asia. Here you can witness weird looking insects like scorpions and hairy spiders from the other side of the glass.

Bali Safari and Marine Park house more than 400 species of animals from three different regions- India, Indonesia and Africa. From spotted deers to blackbucks, African hippos to blue wildebeests, here, you can witness all the wilderness, up close. They have safari bus facilities to ensure your safety while you enjoy your encounter with the amusing wild creatures.

Kemenuh Butterfly Park is Bali’s second butterfly garden, after the one in Tabanan. It was established in 2016 and houses more than 500 species of butterflies both live as well as extinct ones. The park offers recreational as well as educational tours to guide you throughout the vast landscaped park.

Sacred Monkey Forest (Ubud Monkey Forest) is one of the most famous parks in Ubud, Bali. It is a natural sanctuary which is home to the renowned grey long-tailed macaques. Besides famous monkeys, this well-maintained park offers green, making it a great spot to spend an entire day.

The Bali Treetop Adventure Park is an open-air activity area set up amidst lush greenery in Bedugul. With a variety of activities to offer, like forest canopy activities, swinging on canopies, and Tarzan jumps, this park will surely keep the kids engaged in a high adrenaline rush.
