The Sriracha Tiger Zoo is situated in Sri Racha city of the Chon Buri Province of Thailand. Built on the outskirts of Pattaya, Sriracha Tiger Zoo is about 97 kilometres away from Bangkok. It was established in 1997 and now homes around 400 Royal Bengal Tigers and 10,000 crocodiles which are estimated to be the largest in the world. The Zoo is an ideal place for visitors who would wish to get a real-time experience with tiger cubs, watching animal shows, feeding them, or taking a picture amidst nature.
The Sriracha Tiger Zoo has been attracting around 10 million visitors since its establishment. The Zoo houses not only a large tiger population but also crocodiles, elephants, and pigs. Besides this, tour groups also have an opportunity of gorging on Thai, Chinese, Korean, Western, and Indian delicacies available at the zoo. An interesting fact about the zoo is the famous internet meme which shows some pictures of a female tiger who is nursing piglets wrapped in tiger skin. This picture is accompanied by a fictitious story about a California Zoo. It was shot at none other than at Sriracha Tiger Zoo.
