Pattaya Viewpoint, Pattaya Overview

Situated on top of the Phratumnak Hill (Pattaya Hill) at the borders of South Pattaya and Jomtein, the Pattaya Viewpoint is one of the best viewpoints in the area, providing a magnificent view of Pattaya Bay and the cityscape. The location is visited by locals and tourists, both during the dawn and dusk, to get that mind-stirring shot of Pattaya's famous crescent bay.

Inspite of being thronged by tourists, Pattaya Viewpoint is wide enough to comfortably accommodate and provide uninterrupted view right up to Pattaya Beach towards the north, and Jomtien Beach to the south. In addition to being an observation deck for tourists, Pattaya Bay hilltop houses the monumental structure of Admiral H. R. H. Prince of Chumpon (also known as “Father of Royal Thai Navy”) and the Wat Khao Phra Bat Temple, which is claimed to house a relic of Lord Buddha himself.
