One of the most amusing marketplaces of Pattaya, the 4 Regions Floating Market or Pattaya Floating Market is quite popular among tourists located in the middle of a huge pond. Spread across a huge area of 100,000 sq. meters, the 4 Regions Floating Market is a hub of commerce holding a great experience of culture and local lifestyle for its tourists.
With over 114 shops selling the authentic Thai food, desserts, fruits, one can also see plenty of such floating shops for eateries, fruit stalls, souvenir shops and some art galleries. One must try some traditional food such as kanom jean (rice vermicelli) with different kinds of curries, thong yip (sweet egg yolk), noodle soups and pad Thai (stir-fried rice noodles).
Apart from these stalls, there are different types of Thai style of houses featuring four regions of Thailand. The Thai cultural shows including Thai traditional dances and sea boxing show are the key highlights of the evening. The wood craving museum exhibits the brilliant craftsmanship of the local artisans. The best way to explore the entire market is by hiring a boat to get a taste of rich Thai culture. Four people can ride in one boat for around 30 minutes that too for a small fee.
