Starting March 2020, the Golden Chariot train will cover tourist destinations in the states of Karnataka, Goa, Kerala, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. These include Mysuru, Bandipur, Halebid, Hampi, Chikmagalur and Goa among other destinations. The only luxury train operating in South India, the Golden Chariot comprises 18 coaches, 44 guest rooms and a capacity to accommodate around 84 passengers on board.What The Authorities Have To Say
Minister of State for Railways, Mr Suresh Angadi said that the luxury train would encourage tourism in Karnataka and its sister southern states.
