Any car rental player will require you to produce a valid Identity Proof (Voter ID/Passport) issued by the Government of India. It is also mandatory for the customer to own a Driving License which can be applied to any light motor vehicle car. It is important to know that the customer does not need to own a License that is valid for cab drivers for driving taxis with a yellow number plate.

The vendor would also require you to sign a short agreement which would contain a car checklist when you go to pick up the car.  Additionally, you might be asked to submit a photocopy of the original documents while picking up the car. Every car rental facility will ask you to deposit a certain amount which is categorised as the security deposit at the time of booking. This amount is refundable once the vendor receives the car in as good as new condition. The security amount might differ from one car to another, based on the vehicle you are willing to hire.
