Also known as Teluk Yu, Shark Bay Beach is a small and beautiful beach on the Langkawi islands. The beach is quite popular for its tranquillity and clear sea and grabs its name from the stone sharks engraved on the beach side. Spread over an area of 200 meters, the beach is considered to be an extension of the Black sand beach; however, it is filled with golden and white sand.
No actual sharks can be spotted in the nearby sea that surrounds the island. Visitors can plan a romantic getaway and picturesque sightseeing in the small yet beautiful huts around the entrance of the beach. The beautiful landscape and clear water with some rock formations make the place perfect for a photoshoot. To relish the Malaysian cuisine and snacks, there are some food stalls and seafood hawkers too on the coastline.
