Pantai Kok, Langkawi Overview
Pantai Kok curves along Langkawi's west coast about twelve kilometres north of Pantai Cenang, with limestone hills and jungle behind the sand instead of a shopping strip. Telaga Harbour Park occupies the same bay, a yacht marina with restaurants, bars, a bank and a post office, so the beach comes with somewhere to eat without the traffic of Cenang. Swimming and late-afternoon walks are the point here; the water is calm and the crowd thins out fast away from the resorts.
The bay is often listed as Burau Bay, or Teluk Burau, which is the wider inlet that Pantai Kok sits inside. That inlet is also where the Langkawi cable car base station and Oriental Village stand, roughly a kilometre up the road, which makes the beach a sensible place to end a cable car and Seven Wells morning rather than driving back south to Cenang. Facilities on the sand itself are limited and mostly resort owned, so bring water, and expect a genuinely quiet stretch on weekday afternoons.
