However, due to environmental restrictions, massive tonnes of coal import is illegal. Now the security level is also heightened to level 2 for improvement.

2. Mormugao port

Mormugao Port trust is in the coastal region of Goa. This port in Goa is in the western coast, and this port is a natural open type harbour on the mouth of Zuari River. It has hearths for coal and iron ore and also for cruise ships. Mormugao Port, established in 1963, has its mini township are in Headland Sada.
