Kilim Geoforest Park is a 100-square-kilometre nature reserve built around three interconnected estuaries near Tanjung Rhu Beach, one of three geoforest parks that make up Langkawi's UNESCO Global Geopark. It's known for its caves, limestone formations and mangrove swamps, best explored on a riverboat mangrove tour.
The only place where coastal karsts and mangrove ecosystem coexist, main attraction of Kilim Karst Geoforest is its rich variety of wildlife - long-tailed macaques, tree crabs, monitor lizards and otters can be spotted here. The Geopark is a also a haven for bird-watchers. Kilim Karst is home to Gua Kelwar, a popular well-maintained bat cave.
