Agra Police Puts Posters Declaring Taj Mahal As A ‘No–Drone’ Zone!

As per the news reports, Agra Police in November last year caught five Russian tourists for flying drone near Mehtab Bagh, which lies close to Taj Mahal. Due to this, they have put up notices around Taj Mahal premises to inform tourists that the Taj Mahal complex is a ‘No–Drone Zone’. These notices have been put in Hindi, English, Russian and Chinese to inform as many tourists as possible about this new decision undertaken by the Supreme Court of India.

Why This Decision?

As per the announcement made by Botre Rohan Pramod, Superintendent of Police (SP) City, the task of putting up the posters was completed by 7th January. He also told that the police had been receiving a lot of complaints that the visitors of Taj Mahal use drones to click pictures or shoot videos of Taj Mahal. These incidents were reported despite orders from the Supreme Court of India that no drones are to be used near the monuments.
