Kaziranga National Park Reopens to Tourism After the Monsoons - Read More Here

After a monsoon hiatus, Kaziranga National Park and Manas National Park reopened for tourists of 2019-2020, upon orders issued by the Divisional Forest Officer.

However, the rough weather and road conditions will only permit Jeep Safari tourists into Kohora, Kaziranga range, and western range Bagori. The safari range will be open in Kaziranga Kohora only up to Vaisamari. Bagori will also open up to Dunga watchtower and Bimali Tiniali until any further notifications are processed on the same. Although the order to issue the gates of Agaratali, Ghurakathi and Burapahar open including the elephant ride are not yet received, it is expected anytime soon. 


Manas National Park Inauguration

Manas National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site reopened for winter tourism after a monsoon shutdown. Recently inaugurated before a large audience including officials and visitors by Kampa Borgoyary, Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) deputy chief, Manas National Park was reopened at the main office gate complex at Bansbari forest range in Assam’s Baksa district.

Reassurance From The Authorities
The deputy chief during the inauguration said that the park would soon undergo a makeover to enhance its natural surroundings. He also added that the forest and development department are taking initiatives in its development.
