Commuting in the town also turns to be challenging during this time of the year. The snowfall has brought along with it slippery road conditions and has forced traffic authorities to shut down a few areas for safety purposes. Lahaul-Spiti, Kinnaur and Kullu districts of Himachal Pradesh have started receiving intermittent snowfall. On the other hand, the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir is currently experiencing heavy snow. It has drastically brought down the day temperature.While Srinagar witnessed its first Snowfall today, Gulmarg and Sonamarg received the first snowfall of the season yesterday. Pir Panchal including Pir Ki Gali in the border district of Poonch in Jammu division has also experienced the season’s first snowfall last evening.
