First opened in 1977 in Coral Gables by Fredric Snitzer, The Fredric Snitzer gallery was then relocated to Miami in 2014. This gallery has one of the richest collections of contemporary artworks and is one of the leading galleries in Florida. The gallery itself is subdivided into two spaces, namely the indoor exhibition and art space and the outdoor garden featuring sculptures.

Various pieces of both American and Latin art are displayed either permanently or through rotating exhibitions that are held each year. The collection is full of works from successful and classic artists as well as newer emerging artists. The most popular art is by Cuban artists as the gallery still has a prime focus on Cuban artists.
Timing: 11 am-5 pm Tuesday-Saturday

2. Avant Gallery

Boasting a diverse collection of modern art by rising and experienced artists, this art gallery in Miami is a bright and modern place with some of the most unique art. The gallery was relocated from its original location in Lincoln Road to Brickell City Centre and has a colourful and bright décor with vibrant and eccentric art pieces.

The collection includes works by Nathan Sawaya, DAIN, etc. and a whole gallery is a one-of-a-kind place that represents the artists and their artworks. Various exhibitions also take place and the café in the gallery offers beverages and food in the artistic setting.
Timing: 11 am-7 pm Monday-Saturday; 12 pm-6 pm Sunday

C0-Founded by Frances Trombly and Leyden Rodriguez-Casanova, this art gallery features pieces by rising artists and gives them a platform to showcase their talents and art. This gallery has been moving a lot throughout Miami and was not able to secure a proper area for a long time but in 2019, they finally opened up a permanent gallery in the Little Haiti neighbourhood of Miami, giving their collection a home.

Various emerging artists, as well as well-known artists like Magnus Sigurdarson, Jamila Sabur, etc., have their artworks displayed in the gallery at present and the collection only continues to grow.

4. Nina Johnson

Originally located in Wynwood, this art gallery in Miami by founder Nina Johnson was then moved to the Little Haiti neighbourhood and holds a rich collection of various art displays by local emerging artists as well as well-established artists from the world.

Well-known artists like Betty Woodman, Nicolas Lobo, etc. have their works in the gallery on display. The gallery also holds various events and exhibitions throughout the year.

5. Oolite Arts

Founded in 1984 by Ellie Schneiderman, the Oolite Arts gallery has a large collection of works by local and international artists that are displayed both permanently and on rotating exhibitions that take place each year. The name of the museum comes from the sedimentary rock Oolite which is the bedrock of Miami and in a way represents it.

Currently, at their Lincoln Roda location, you can witness art by rising artists as well as popular artists like Adler Guerrier, Yanira Collado, Edouard Duval-Carrie, etc. A new location of the gallery is set to launch in 2022.
Timing: 12 pm-6 pm Monday-Friday; 1 pm-6 pm Saturday-Sunday

6. Artechouse

Founded in 1998 by artists, this non-profit art gallery boasts a large space and a collection of various contemporary artworks from various artists from the city as well as from around the globe. They encourage local and international artists to bring forth and display their ideas and thoughts in forms of their artworks and introduce them to the world.

There is no admission fee charged and visitors can browse through the various art displays and appreciate the different types of artworks from their collection. The gallery also has a coffee shop set-up and an art store for purchases which the visitors can visit. The Smash and Garb fundraiser event that is held each year is perhaps the most awaited event. In it, every ticketholder can enjoy the displays and has the liberty to pick one artwork that is donated to take home with them.
