As the name suggests, Sunset Harbor is the best place to visit if you wish to catch a picturesque sunset. Located in Miami Beach, this waterfront harbor offers a backdrop of the downtown Miami skyline, palm trees, and yachts. 

The sky is colored with beautiful hues of pink and purple around 5:40 pm to 6:10 pm, i.e. the usual time of sunset in Miami. There are also many places to shop at the Sunset harbor such as Shan and The Backroom.

There are a variety of restaurants that you can head to after watching the sunset. NaiYaRa, locally known as Chef Bee, is a Thai restaurant that offers exotic delicacies and authentic Thai dishes such as lemongrass soup and Thai curries. Icebox Café is perfect for deserts. They serve yogurts, ice creams, waffles, etc. There are many other restaurants at the Sunset Harbor you can choose from.

2. Rusty Pelican

Rusty Pelican is perhaps Miami’s most famous restaurant. Known for its floor-to-ceiling windows that offer breathtaking views of the Biscayne Bay.  They serve the finest seafood and American cuisines. Sip on their hand-made cocktails while looking out the windows to the dazzling waterfront views. The elegant décor makes for a very sophisticated and romantic atmosphere.

The sunset is beautiful to see from here. The hues of the sunrays contrast beautifully with the Miami skyline.

3. Miami Beach Marina

The beach is dotted with palm trees and shrubs making the sunset all the more beautiful. Yachts and boats are lined up in the ocean and shine in the sunlight. Monty’s Sunset is a seafood restaurant near Miami Beach Marina that offers a variety of alcoholic drinks. Fi’lia is great for Italian food and Texas de Brazil has some delicious steak and waterfront views.

4. Haulover Beach Park

The palm trees and yachts form the perfect silhouette for the sunset backdrop at Haulover Beach Park. Located at Collins Ave, in Miami Beach, Haulover Beach Park is a 177-acre urban beach park situated on a shoal between the Atlantic Ocean and Biscayne Bay, north of the Broad Causeway.

The sky is a stunning shade of orangish-pink every day around 5:42 pm when the sun sets in Miami.  On the weekdays during the sunset, Haulover Beach Park is usually never crowded. So if you wish to enjoy a quaint sunset in solitude, this is the best place in all of Maimi. 

Every Tuesday food trucks collect here. They serve everything from fried American fast-foods to piping hot coffee and tea.

5. South Pointe Park

South Pointe Park is lined with trees, pathways, green parks and runs right next to Miami Beach. It is the perfect spot to lay out a blanket in the green parks and gaze at the sunset. The waterfront view adds to the scenic landscape of South Pointe. The promenade lights up with neon lights at night making the sunset more stunning. 

Located at the center of the park, Smith & Wollensky serves everything from seafood to steaks. The upstairs outdoor deck offers panoramic views of the ocean and the beach. It is the perfect place to dine on mouth-watering dishes while taking in the sunset.
