The process of raw silk extraction from these cocoons, the unique process of dying and weaving are all explained on tour. The free tours start at 8 AM for every 1 hour, with the last tour beginning at 5 PM.

Angkor Silk Farm History

Angkor Silk Farm was established in 1993 and is one of the enterprises of Angkor Artisans, a non-profit social organisation of Cambodia. The purpose of the farm is to train young Cambodians to develop Khmer craftsmanship, which also includes silk textiles. The farm supplies silk to many textile industries. The farm currently provides employment to over 500 locals. They also have more than 25 workshops year-round, where young Khmers are trained to be hired.
