Hung Shing Temple is located in Hac Sa, the biggest village in Macau. Hac Sa lies in the southern part of Macau. The temple acquires its significance as the only temple in the whole town. It is dedicated to Chinese folk religion deity Hung Shing. The temple has a small infrastructure and does not boast of detailed architecture or other such decorations.

The deity of Hung Shing is placed on the altar along with many flowers and scented with incense. Hung Shing is supposed to be a government official who received reverence due to his mastery in astronomy, meteorology and geography. He is also known as Tai Wong, and many such Hung Shing/ Tai Wong temples exist in several parts of China.
