A haven for nature lovers, the Seac Pai Van Park is located in Coloane. Other than being a multipurpose park, this is also the largest green area in Macau. Within its premises, one can identify Macau Museum of Panda's, Museum of Nature and Agriculture, a children's zoo, an aviary and a botanical garden.
The park is abounding with rich flora and fauna. It is known for the Panda Pavilion; wherein one can stand on a pavilion and observe two giant, cuddly pandas housed in the park. Other than pandas, the park is also home to ostriches, tarsier monkeys and other rural livestock. The Rare animal exhibition area of the museum offers educational classes in animal conservation for the residents and tourists.
Other than this, the park also encases some historical relics including a small aeroplane from Portugal, an old railway engine, skeletal specimens of a Bryde's whale and Chinese White Dolphin. A visit to the park is compulsory for all those who want to understand the biological diversity of Macau. Housed amidst lush green wooded hills, this park is also a perfect spot for a picnic with your dear ones.
