Pak Tai Temple, Macau Overview
A 160-year-old temple in Taipa Village, the Pak Tai Temple is dedicated to the martial Taoist God Pak Tai who is believed to have defeated the Demon King terrorising the universe. The temple features a worship altar to pay offerings, unlike any other temple in Macau.
The best time to visit the temple is during the Feast of Pak Tai on the third day of the thid lunar month when Cantonese opera performances are held here. One can usually spot local residents chilling by the banyan-tree-covered square every afternoon.
