Summers is Jaisalmer can be very harsh and extremely hot due to it's proximity to the Thar Desert. The summer season begins from the month of April and continues till the month of August with temperature going up to 42°C. The scorching heat will prove to be a hindrance to your trip as you wouldn't be able to walk and explore Jaisalmer without feeling tired and dehydrated. Jaisalmer Desert Festival

17th - 19th February

Organised by Rajasthan tourism, spend three days in the exotic desert of Jaisalmer while indulging in local delicacies. Fun competitions like turban tying, and best moustache are also held during this (Read More) time. All about preserving and promoting Rajasthani culture, various folk acts are also performed. The perfect ending is given to the festival with the full moon reflecting on the beautiful sand dunes on the last night.
