Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village, Ipoh Overview

The Qing Xin Ling Leisure & Cultural Village is an eco-tourist spot 20-minute drive away from Ipoh town. It has been carefully preserved to turn a patch of wilderness into a brilliant attraction. Nestled amid sky-high cliffs of limestone hills covered in lush forests, the village features emerald-green lakes, cute koi ponds, and lots of tiny lakeside cottages to sit and enjoy nature. You can feed the fish as well.

You get the authentic experience of a Malay hamlet while availing the comfortable amenities of a well-planned urban accommodation. You can rent a bicycle or hire a trishaw to ride around and enjoy the unique cultural fabric of Qing Xin Ling village. There are natural caves, dirt trails, and mountain brooks to explore. Pick nature walking in the jungle or eat from the open cooking counter stalls to spend your mornings. There are 3D replicas all around the village that will make for a great Instagram snap. The lakeside chalet houses have antique collections like old-school TVs and radios, motor vehicles, and other appliances of everyday use on display. You will find many spots to take pictures that give off retro vibes.

A highlight of your stay will be getting your fortune told by a practitioner of Ba Zhi, a Chinese astrological concept based on ‘Four Pillars of Destiny’. At the center of the cultural village is a vast ancient Banyan tree with many red strings tied around its trunk. This tree is believed to grant your wishes, as per Chinese myths. Remember that if you plan on wishing on the tree, hand over your ribbon to the staff and do not tie it yourself. Memory Lane is another attraction here: a nostalgic uphill walk along the hills lined by windmills and make-believe street shops. It is one of the must-visit places for a laid-back, charming experience in Ipoh.
