So Which Should You Pick?
Thailand is the easier trip. Flights are shorter at three to four and a half hours against six and a half to nine, four or five days is enough, road transport between cities is straightforward, and vegetarian and Indian food is everywhere. Indonesia asks more of you and gives more back: island hopping means boats and domestic flights, English thins out beyond Bali, and you want six or seven days minimum. Budget matters too, since Indonesia runs roughly ten to twenty thousand rupees higher per person. Pick Thailand for a first trip, a short trip, or a trip with children.
