Keep In Mind

The drinking age in Dubai is 21 years old and most establishments are particular about this. It is best to keep ID on you at all times. Passports are generally accepted for visitors while locals should carry their Emirates ID or their driver's license. We'd recommend making reservations at most nightclubs and calling ahead to inquire about cover charges, as most bars and nightclubs have a cover charge of around AED 200. During the month of Ramadan, almost all establishments are closed.

In terms of dressing, Dubai is slightly more lenient than most places. Women can wear short skirts and dresses which are considered normal clubbing attire. Most places have strict dress codes, so men should avoid jeans, shorts and flip-flops. As public intoxication is against the law, we suggest taking taxis straight to your hotel instead of walking home. This extends to drunken driving as well.

As long as you keep these basic guidelines in mind, a night of clubbing in Dubai should be an incredible time!
