Yazoo Park, Mumbai Overview

Located in the outskirts of Mumbai, Yazoo Park is a lovely amusement park spread over and area of 12 acres, catering to all and every age, starting right from the tiny tots to veteran gamers. This bonafide wonderland is a perfect destination for those who want to get out of the crowd of the city and spend a day somewhere quieter and closer to nature, but also do not want to miss out on the plethora of rides and recreations that any premier amusement park would offer.

Yazoo Park has the best of both worlds. From evergreen favourites like Ferris wheel and Merry-go-Round to adventurous additions like Zipline and Freefall, from fun kiddie rides like Dragon Train to the Rifle range and gaming zone for the pros - Yazoo Park has something or the other for everyone. The latest addition, Water Zone is an aquatic extravaganza meant for the entire family to have fun together.

At the end of the day, to feed your hungry tummies, there is the Yazoo Food Plaza and the Yazoo Floating Restaurant. Combining the two, you will get a vast array of cuisines including Indian, Chinese, purely veg South Indian and other scrumptious delicacies.

Attractions

As mentioned before, Yazoo Park has a wide range of rides and attractions, to keep the toddlers busy, the children and teens excited and the adults busy as well.

For Kids

There are two entire separate play areas dedicated just for the tiny tots of your family. The Little Wonder is a play area for kids above 3 years of age, full of different rides like Arch Springs, Bongo Climber, Balancing Bridge, Roller Slides, Tube Slide and many more. The Bumping Boat arena, where there are battery-operated boats taking rounds of a small, shallow pool, is surely to make your little one jump with joy. For those even smaller than that, there is the Mini Wonder play area which has a bunch of free rides like Seesaw, Toddler Swing, Spiral slide, Fireman Pole and the likes.

For Adults

While the kids are busy with the previous rides, grown-ups can get their adrenaline rush from the rides like Vertical Swing Chair, Disco Coaster and the Freefall ride with a 90-ft drop. There are archery and rifle shooting range and a 40-ft wall for indoor rock climbing as well, to keep the excitement up. There are simpler activities to indulge in, like Rodeo Bull, Net Cricket and Bumping Cars as well.

For the Family

The Water Zone of Yazoo Park is the newest addition. With attractions like Rain Dance, Wet Floor and Water Tube Slides of different kind, the entire Water Zone area is an amazing opportunity to literally let your hair down and splash around with your family on a hot and sunny day. There are separate toilets and changing rooms with showers, as well as safety lockes for the guests in the Water Zone premise. The Gaming Zone has multiple stations for fun and interesting games including car racing, shooting and other simulation games.

For Relaxation

A unique thing to do here would be to get a fish pedicure therapy. Although not a new treatment in the spa industry, it is indeed an unorthodox addition in an amusement park. All you need to do is dip your feet in a tank of water full of tiny and harmless fish, which would nibble away at your feet and clear the dead skin off, leaving your feet rejuvenated. If the experience is too wild for you on the first time around, you can stick to a regular, relaxing foot massage.

Food and Beverages

Spread over an area of almost 3000 sq ft, the Yazoo Food Junction is a pure vegetarian plaza serving various cuisines from its 9 different counters. There is South Indian, North Indian, Chinese and other chaat and snacks items to satiate your hunger pangs in between rides or at the end of the day. There is a Yazoo Food Plaza next to the amphitheatre as well, with similar cuisines on the menu.

For a finer experience of a family mean, visit the Yazoo Floating Restaurant, which is stranded in the water surrounded by the lake on four sides. Serving both veg and non veg in Indian and Chinese cuisines, the restaurant is also known for its warm hospitality and chic ambience.

Entry Fees and Timings

Entry fee to Yazoo Park is INR 45 and to the Yazoo Water Zone is INR 170. If you pay just the entry fees at the gate, then you will have to buy separate tickets for all the rides inside. However, with the Yazoo Carnival Offer of INR 559, you can get unlimited access to all the rides along with entry and with the Combo Package of INR 669, to the Water Zone as well.

Yazoo Park is open from 12 noon to 8:30 PM on all 7 days of the week. Entry to the rides closes at 8 PM to give the guests half an hour to make their way out. The Water Zone hours are from 10 AM to 5 PM.

Tips

  • If you want to enjoy the park as well as the Water Zone, arrive in the early hours so that you have enough time to enjoy both.
  • Bring your own swimsuit and towels if possible for the Water Zone, because otherwise, you might have to purchase one.
  • Although the kiddie rides are safe and secure, do not let your children out of sight.

How To Reach Yazoo Park

Yazoo Park is located in the Global City of Virar, near Viva College on Narangi Bypass Road. The distance of the park from the city of Mumbai is nearly 50 kilometres. The nearest landmark to Yazoo Park would be Virar Railway Station, from where the park is only 3 kilometres away and takes only 5-10 minutes on a car. Hiring a car or going by cab would be your best option to reach Yazoo Park from Mumbai or any other location. Although there are buses from a number of nearby places like Maxus Mall, Virar Railway Station or Vasai ST Depot, as a tourist you would be better off on a personal vehicle.
