Vardhaman Fantasy, Mumbai Overview

Vardhaman Fantasy Amusement Park is a relatively new park constructed in Mumbai. The highlight of the park are the seven charming zones that it is divided into - Texas Cowboy, Greek Village, Colo Theatrum, Viva Las Vegas, Wonders of the World, Lake Venetia and Spanish food. Besides, the wonderful setting and construction, the park also has a massive food court, facilitates boasting and has thrill rides for both adults and kids.

The concept of the amusement park is based on creating a world as close to fantasy as possible and openings its doors to the public who cannot afford big entry fees. They aim at creating and maintaining a green environment. The park also has some features that take people to different locations around the world through their international themes and some that provide entertainment, amusement and education too. This is one of the few adventure parks in the city that can be visited by the young and old alike.

Things to do at Vardhaman Fantasy

As soon as visitors enter Vardhman Fantasy they walk across the Texas Cowboy Zone that takes them back into the cowboy era. Here, they can see cowboys riding the stallions and walk across wooden patios just like they have it in Texas. The cowboy zone opens up into a Greek Village with a fountain in the middle and two curved pillared halls on either side. The structure is made to resemble the Greek Architecture, has tall lamp posts all around and provides for a spacious area to leisurely walk across.

The next is the Colosseum, called Colo Theatrum, which is an amphitheatre with a stage in the centre and circular step-like seating all around it. This portion has walls with arches encircling it creating a theatre. Here, visitors can watch scheduled live shows, concerts, open-air movie shows, plays, annual day celebration etc. The amphitheatre can accommodate about 800 people at a time.

To the left of the Colosseum is “Viva Las Vegas” which is also called the thrill zone of Vardhman Fantasy. Here, visitors can enjoy the exciting rides like Crazy Frog, Free Hall and the Ferrous Wheel. There is also a gambling Zone called, “Poker Face” and a gaming zone where one can play indoor games.

Miniatures of the Seven Wonders
One section is a park area where the miniatures of the seven wonders of the world have been built. Here, visitors can know a little bit of the Great Wall of China, the Taj Mahal, Eiffel Tower, Statue of Liberty, Christ the Redeemer Statue and the Pyramids of Giza. The area has lush greenery and wide pathways that lead to the next section.

Lake Venetia
The next part of the attraction is Lake Venetia where visitors can go on boat rides on an artificial lake. There are bumper boats, paddle boats etc. to choose from. Several colleges and schools can also book this area of the amusement park for boating competitions.

Right next to the lake is the Spanish Food Court. It has indoor and outdoor seating right on the banks of Lake Venetia. This is a completely vegetarian amusement park, so only vegetarian cuisine is served at the food court. The property also has a café named “Brownville Café” and a restaurant called “Fun Food” where visitors can relish some delicious vegetarian snacks and meals.

Timings and Entry fees at Vardhaman Fantasy

Vardhaman Fantasy Amusement Park is open from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM throughout the week. However, the rides are open from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM.

Entry Fee – INR 2 per person
Ride Charges – INR 50 to INR 150 per ride approximately
Package – INR 200 per head (package of 15 rides)

Themes at the Park

The park carries an abundance of themes mimicking cultures from all over the world.

·       Texas Cowboy
The Texas Cowboy theme begins from the entrance. Men on horses wearing cowboy hats welcome the visitors and escort into finding their way further.

·       The Greek Village
The Greek Village is planted with statues of Gods and Goddesses from Greek mythology. There is a fountain to sit by, and a vast open area to walk around. There is a café within the peripherals called the Bournville Café serving varieties in tea and coffee. The snack shop provides beverages with greasy sides and condiments to bite into.

There are tiny stores selling handicrafts and merchandise as souvenirs or memoirs from the park.

·       Colo Theatrum
The Colo Theatrum is a structure resembling the Colosseum in Rome. It has a capacity of 800 people, and occasional functions such as annual events, birthday parties, open-air film festivals and concerts are organized in this area.

·       Viva Las Vegas
The Viva Las Vegas is the official gaming zone in the park. It is equally adorned by adults and kids for the rides such a Crazy Frog, Ferrous Wheel, Free Fall and many more. There is an indoor gaming lounge too.

·       Wonder of the World
Miniature thermocol models of the Seven Wonders of the World - Great Wall of China, Taj Mahal, Leaning Tower of Pisa, Giza Pyramid, Statue of Liberty, Eiffel Tower and Christ the Redeemer Statue are all placed in this themed arena.

·       Lake Venetia
The Lake Venetia provides for a boating spot and other water rides.

·       Spanish Food Court
Española culture is celebrated with its delicacies beside Lake Venetia with the following restaurants - Chini Mini, Farmaeesh, Proudly Thambi, Elistano and Causeway.

How To Reach Vardhaman Fantasy Amusement Park

Vardhman Fantasy is located in Shivar Gardens on Kashi Mira Road/ Chhatrapati Shivaji Marg, Mira Road East. People coming to Mumbai, either by train, state transport bus or a flight can easily avail public transport (taxis, Uber, Ola) right from the drop point. They can also head to the nearest Railway Station to take a local train heading to Mira Road Railway Station. Local trains are faster than road transportation but not as convenient and comfortable. Mira Road Railway Station is located about 2 kilometres away from Vardhman Fantasy and people can reach the attraction via Station Road – N H School.
