Kwai Chai Hong is a restored back alley tucked behind the shophouses of Lorong Panggung in Kuala Lumpur's Petaling Street, the heart of the city's Chinatown. Once a quiet, overlooked passage, it now displays six large murals, each paired with a QR code that shares a story from the area's history as a Chinese immigrant settlement. The alley is managed by Bai Chuan Management Sdn Bhd as a tourist attraction and draws visitors for photos, small cafes, and a glimpse of Chinatown's past.
Kwai Chai Hong sits in a narrow back lane off Lorong Panggung, within the Petaling Street area of Kuala Lumpur's Chinatown. Its name, written as 鬼仔巷, has been translated as Little Ghost Lane or Little Demon Lane. The alley was revitalized around 2020, according to the tracker note, and is managed by Bai Chuan Management Sdn Bhd for tourism. It features six interactive murals, each fitted with a QR code, depicting scenes from the daily life of Chinese immigrant residents who lived and worked in the area in earlier decades, including one mural referencing a sex worker who once lived there. Cafes and small shops now line the alley alongside the artwork.
