Beaches in Dubai Thats More Than Just Sun, Sand & Surf

Stretched along the coast, south of the city's historic Al Faihidi district, this sandy white strip of sand is among the top beaches in Dubai. Also known as Umm Suqeim Beach, this beach has the best view of the marvelous Burj Al Arab and is one of Dubai's beaches. Situated next to the Jumeirah Beach Hotel, Sunset Beach is ideal for morning and evening strolls, jogs, and walks or just to watch the sunset.

Burj Al Arab Beach is a public beach surrounding the stunning, world-famous hotel Burj Al Arab. It has become the go-to destination for surfers and swimmers who enjoy a good challenge, as the waves here are quite choppy. There are plenty of other water sports on offer, too, with equipment that can be rented at nominal rates. The promenade here is a great place for joggers and couples hoping for a romantic stroll along the beach.

JBR (which stands for Jumeirah Beach Residence) Beach is one of the most luxurious beaches in Dubai. It has been awarded Blue Flag status for cleanliness. It has a private waterfront for guests at Jumeirah Hotels, which are great spots for sunbathing, while the public area has water sports like banana boating, parasailing, and even wakeboarding.

Located near Mercato Mall, this beach is a great location for those who appreciate calm waters and cooling sands instead of just picturesque settings. Visit this beach near Jumeirah 1 to enjoy a quiet day on a flat shore with a cool breeze.
Highlights: A quieter beach near Jumeirah Fishing Harbor, suitable for long walks and relaxing in a tranquil setting.
Facilities: Limited facilities, better for a peaceful day out.

Less popular than the more commercial beaches of Dubai, Black Palace Beach can be found at Al Sufouh Road. It is easy to miss as access is tricky, but once you do arrive, you'll find it a calm haven outside of the city bustle. The beach has gorgeous turquoise waters and pretty sand ridges.
