Dataran Lang, Langkawi Overview
The Dataran Lang, popularly known as Eagle Square, is a photo spot in Langkawi featuring a 12-metre tall eagle statue that overlooks Kuah Jetty. The square is bordered with ponds, bridges and fountains, and stalls nearby sell local pottery and handicrafts.
This giant eagle statue is positioned in such a way that it overlooks the Kuah Jetty. There are some stalls at Dataran Lang, selling local traditional pottery and handicrafts. The sunset point nearby offers a glorious, warm view of the sun sinking.

- The Malay word ‘helang’ means eagle and ‘kawi’ means reddish brown. One combining these two words, it forms the word- Langkawi. This 12 meter tall statue thus forms the national emblem of Langkawi.
- The Eagle Square offers a picturesque view of the Kuah Bay. The tiny villas and independent houses in the vicinity of Dataran Lang have beautiful terracotta terraces and fruit orchards. There are a number of intricate, mini fountains and well structured bridges which enhance the beauty of this island by multiple folds.
