The Riding School at Abu Dhabi Equestrian Club that began over a decade ago, boasts of over 100 horses and ponies that are all trained properly. A wide range of horses are available for riding lessons. They have separate classes for beginners, intermediate riders and advanced riders. 
Timings: Saturday to Thursday - 4:30 PM to 8 PM. Fridays are holidays.
Weekly 1 lesson - Members: AED 4,700 per season
Weekly 2 lessons - Members: AED 8300 per season
1 lesson - Non-Members: AED 300 per lesson

2. Al Ain Equestrian, Shooting & Golf Club

This place for horse riding in Abu Dhabi has shooting and golfing facilities along with horse riding. They host national and international events and provide excellent horsemanship skills. They offer classes for all experience levels. 
Pony lessons ( 6 to 9 years old ) - 30 minutes: AED 60 for 1 lesson

3. Mandara Equestrian Club

The Mandara Equestrian Club is a fully licensed riding school that caters to both beginner and advanced level riders. In addition to the horseback riding classes, this club also offers pony rides or pleasure rides for kids below 4 years.
Outdoor Horse Riding:

Indoor Horse Riding:

4. Dhabian Equestrian Club

The Equestrian Academy at Al Forsan Club offers training in a variety of activities, such as polo, horseback riding, dressage and show jumping. They also host fun events like pony games and kid camps along with stable management courses.

6. Sir Bani Yas Stables

This popular place for horse riding in Abu Dhabi offers excursions through the mangrove lagoons, the beaches, the dunes and through the wildlife. The Dune Ride is the perfect opportunity to experience riding through sand dunes. The beginner excursion starts at 30 to 45 minutes per session. The Beach Ride or the Bush Trail is only for intermediate riders. The duration is between 1 hour to 1 and a half hour. The excursion starts with taking the guests to the sandy beaches on Sir Bani Yas Island. You can go into the water for a splash. The Wildlife Ride is only for experienced riders. You get to experience the southern area of the wildlife park for almost two hours. It is a perfect opportunity to get up close and personal with the island’s beautiful wildlife.

Things to Know Before Horse Riding in Abu Dhabi

  • Always wear horseback riding helmets to meet safety standards.
  • Wear sturdy, properly-fitted boots with minimal heel. 
  • Do not attempt to ride a horse while on medication or under the influence of alcohol. 
  • Never walk from behind a horse as they consider it threatening. 
  • Pregnant women are advised to refrain from horseback riding.
