Review Written for Hampi

(Written on 15 May, 2019)

Hampi is an architectural marvel that has been built entirely from stones. It is also relevant to the Ramayana which I wasn't aware of until the guide informed us. Also, the city itself doesn't have m (Read More)uch to offer apart from old ruins and structure. It is also advisable to not visit the city in summers because its really hot and traveling around the city is the biggest hassle. The architecture is definitely interesting, especially the carvings. Overall, it could have been a better experience if I had visited in some other month.

A destination stop for all your shopping woes, but only and only if you really know how to bargain your way around these shopkeepers who have established a stronghold in central Bangalore when it come (Read More)s to local buying. Commercial Street offers a variety of products and services, from earrings to dresses to saris to curtains to sofa covers to antique house decorations, Commercial Street has it all. It is beneficial if you walk around Commercial Street because its jam-packed at all times. I would also recommend you to be aware of pick-pocketers and to keep your valuables safe and under your eye.

Review Written for Mysore

The Mysore Palace is the major attraction of Mysore which is also known as City of Palaces. The Mysore Palace is a beautiful delight to sore eyes as the detailed carving and hand sculpting that has go (Read More)ne into its creation. The Palace is colourful and highly maintained such that it serves a very photographic location. One cannot use dedicated cameras such as DSLRs or even Polaroid Cameras inside the Palace, but mobile photography is permitted and not penalized. It is also a place that is historically significant. Its history can be read on the internet before visiting the palace, if you are not willing to pay for a guide because that?s what my friends and I did. If one means to visit other places arounf the Mysore Palace in Mysore do check if the city is open during that day because we went on a Tuesday and all the shops and places in the city were shut.

Review Written for Udaipur

Udaipur, the City of Lakes, needs to be visited for its local shops, souvenir hunting, majestic architecture and serene lakes. The city is divided on the basis of three lakes ? Lake Pichhola, Fatehsag (Read More)ar Lake and Badi Lake, which gives it its epithet. The three lakes make up the major attractions alongside with the palaces. It is necessary to keep in mind that Udaipur, is a little expensive city such that entry tickers to palaces are also highly priced than Jaipur or other places; even boat tickets are on a higher scale but food is not that expensive at good restaurants. One can visit the major attractions in the city in a 2 days duration. As I stayed for 3 days, I absolutely had nothing to do on the third day. If well planned, one can definitely visit Mount Abu for a day as Udaipur is not that expansive to require more days. Review Written for Jaisalmer

(Written on 15 May, 2019)

Jaisalmer, also known as the Golden City, seems as if old fairytale dessert towns have come to life. The city is oriented around the Jaisalmer Fort, which is in itself one of the only living forts in (Read More)India. Apart from the fort, the desert around the city offer activities such as dune bashing, parasailing, desert camping and so on. The city itself has very little to offer but the various experiences etched around the city are worth it. I visited Jaisalmer at the last during my tour around Rajasthan largely because Jaisalmer has limited connectivity from major cities Jaipur and Udaipur. The autorickshaw prices are also high in Jaisalmer such that walking is much preferred as the city itself is not that widely spread at all.

Review Written for Mumbai

(Written on 15 May, 2019)

The famous Dargah in Mumbai is located at an islet in southern Mumbai in Worli. The location as well as the mosque are lucratively located that leads so many tourists to the attraction. It is importan (Read More)t to be very alert and conscious when visiting the Dargah largely because as it is open to all, different sorts of crowd gathers at the place and chances of pick-pocketing, chain-snatching, purse-looting are very high Secondly, there is an entire money-making business that takes place right before you enter the dargah where vendors will convince you to buy this and get this and definitely take that, even though nothing is required to be offered at the dargah apart from one? own willingness. Even the maulis inside the dargah will ask you for money, but do not fall in the trap as visiting the dargah is free of cost and you need not pay anywhere you do not wish.
