5k to 6k is minimum required. If you can make you add shopping ,recreational activities , different type of cuisine and there are so many things to do and experience. You must carry 10k to 12k.

If u are a budget traveller it would cost at least 4k for 2 days trip

Shimla is a very good place to go in the month of February to experience snowfall. Most of Himachal and Kashmir Valley experience good amount of snowfall in the month of January & February.
