Situated on the northern end of Mahe following the coastal road from Lazare, the Takamaka Bay is one of the gorgeous beaches in Seychelles. With stunning views and beautiful golden sands, Anse Takamaka gets its name from the Takamaka trees that line it. The beach has crystal clear water and abundant marine life making it great for swimming and snorkelling. It is ideal for families and children. Aldabra tortoises can also be spotted here.

Takamaka is one of the administrative regions of Mahe, Republic of Seychelles. The 15km long beach has boulders of rocks that can be climbed to get a better view. This place is visited by people almost round the clock, with few restaurants and shops on the beachside. The Anse Takamaka Beach is extremely accessible owing to a bus stop and parking lot just 50 meters away.
