An iconic location ever since it shot to fame in the Movie "The Beach' by Leonardo Di Caprio, Maya Bay's small but beautiful beaches were thronged by tourists in the thousands each day. Accessible only by boats and ferries, the crystal waters of the bay are great for swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving. While until recently, the bay had been indefinitely shut off to visitors, tourists are now allowed to visit again in a controlled manner.
