Koh Poda, Krabi Overview
Koh Poda sits roughly 8 kilometres off Ao Nang in Krabi Province, inside Hat Nopharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park. Its long white-sand beach faces calm, shallow, clear water backed by limestone cliffs and pine trees, making it a popular swimming and snorkeling stop. The island is one of the "Four Islands" grouped with Chicken Island (Koh Kai), Koh Mo, and Koh Thap, connected to each other by a sandbar at low tide. Access is boat-only, usually as part of a longtail or speedboat day tour from Ao Nang.
Koh Poda is a small island in Krabi's Hat Nopharat Thara-Mu Ko Phi Phi National Park, about 8 kilometres from Ao Nang. Its main beach is broad and sandy, with shallow turquoise water clear enough to see fish without snorkel gear, set against a backdrop of pine trees and vertical limestone cliffs. It forms part of the "Mu Ko Poda" or "Four Islands" cluster alongside Chicken Island (Koh Kai), Koh Mo, and Koh Thap; at low tide a sandbar links the latter three islands for walking between them. The northern end draws the bulk of day-tour boats, while the southern stretch stays quieter. Visits are almost always by chartered longtail boat or group speedboat tour from Ao Nang or Krabi Town.
