Town Hall, Ipoh Overview

The ancient, colonial-era building, Ipoh Town Hall is situated at Negeri Perak. It provides an old and authentic look with its Edwardian Baroque Architectural style exhibiting the long-standing history and mesmerising architectural beauty for the lovers of historical events.

The Ipoh Town Hall building provides a grand look even after so many years of construction. Formerly housing many government offices like the Administrative Offices and the Post Office, the building is now used as a venue for weddings and other public events. Ipoh Town Hall also serves as a venue for events like the inaugural congress of Malaya’s first political party among many others.

How to Reach Ipoh Town Hall

The colonial building is well connected to Jalan Dato Seri Ahmad Said and Jalan Sultan Abdul Jalil. One can easily travel by train to the Ipoh Railway Station which is at walking distance from the Town Hall or by bus – MCA Perak (Ipoh), Jalan Sultan Idris Shah Bus Station. One can alternatively hire a taxi which takes around 6 minutes to reach the Town Hall from the city centre via Jalan Sultan Iskandar.
