Tasik Cermin, Ipoh Overview

A limestone-ringed lake reached through a tunnel cut into the rock, about 5km from the centre. There are two of them. Tasik Cermin 1 is a short walk through an old mining tunnel; Tasik Cermin 2, signed as Hidden World, can only be reached by boat along a flooded 120m water tunnel, and that is the one worth the fare. Cliffs drop straight into still green water and the reflection is the whole point, so a windless morning beats a breezy afternoon. Tickets are sold at the management office by the entrance.

Boat Ride Experience

  • Tasik Cermin 1: Accessed via a 90-meter Miner’s Tunnel, this lake boasts mirror-like reflections of surrounding limestone hills. The 20-minute boat ride, guided by Tasik Cermin staff, offers insights into the lake's history and unique photo opportunities.
  • Tasik Cermin 2 (Hidden World): Reachable only by a 120-meter water tunnel, this secluded lake provides a mystical experience, reminiscent of a hidden world. The journey through the tunnel opens up to a serene lake surrounded by towering cliffs
