Dubai Waterfalls, Dubai Overview

Dubai Waterfalls was created inside the Dubai Mall, which is located at the Financial Center Road in the UAE. Established in 2009, the attraction is 24-meter tall and situated near The Grove, which is known to be a vital component of the retail centre. This artificial Waterfall is designed by Singapore-based DPA architects and is known to give the visitors a significantly luxury experience.

This place is surrounded by coffee shops which allow visitors to grab a coffee and enjoy the views of Burj Dubai, the Dubai Fountain, and The Address, Downtown Burj Dubai. Running through the entire height of Dubai Mall, the Waterfall is adorned with fibreglass sculptures of divers, which creates a dynamic visual spectrum for the visitors. The sheer beauty of the manmade creation at the Dubai Mall is undoubtedly a compelling piece of artistry and magic, which draws every visitor’s attention.

The Waterfall at the Dubai Mall comprises of two tubular structures which are 30 meters in diameter. It also has an overhead reservoir which feeds recycled water. The Waterfall has become a famous meeting point for people visiting the Mall. In the morning, you can experience a real desert where palm trees surround the place, and at night, you can witness the spectacular lights creating a jaw-dropping beauty of the Waterfall. The Waterfall is also a gateway for several waterfront restaurants which are being planned around the Burj Dubai Lake area.

How To Reach Dubai Waterfalls

To get to the Dubai Mall, you have three options to choose from:
  • By Metro: You can take the Red Line which goes to the Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall Station. You will find a long, air-conditioned bridge which connects the station to the Mall. A walk through the bridge will take around 15 minutes and will get you to the second floor of the Mall. The Dubai Metro operates from 6:00 AM to 11:00 PM from Saturday to Thursday and 2:00 PM to midnight on Friday. Also, know that the month of Ramadan may affect the timings of the metro.
  • By Taxi: A taxi to the Dubai Mall will cost you between AED 3 to AED 4. The cab will be dropping you at the entrance of the Mall.
  • By Bus: There are two buses going directly to the Dubai Mall. Route 27 picks up passengers from the Deira Gold Souk Bus Station and Route 29 from Ghubaiba Bus Station. You will need to get off at the tourist drop-off area in front of the entrance of the Mall. You will get buses to the Mall every 15 minutes.
