Dubai Visa For Indians - Cost, Process, How to Apply

Going to Dubai for tourism or any other purpose is always exciting, and it certainly requires you to be a visa holder. Getting a visa is undoubtedly the most tedious part of travelling abroad, and it can sometimes be a real headache. Documents Required

  • 1st and 2nd Page of the Application form
  • The Confirmed Emirates or Fly Dubai airline ticket photocopy.
  • Coloured photocopies of the First and the Last two pages of the Passport. (valid for six months from the date of travel)
  • 3rd and 4th page of the Application form

Eligibility Criteria for Dubai Visa For Indians

To obtain a visa, the applicant has to fit into one of the eligibility criteria for the application to be processed

1. Travel Record

An applicant qualifies in this criteria if he/she has travelled to at least once in the past 5fiveyears or holds a valid visa for countries like USA, UK, Schengen countries, European Union, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Canada, Switzerland and Japan or has evidence of travel records to the UAE in the past 5fiveyears.

2. Financial Records

Applicants who fail as per Travel Record should submit either Form 16 or Income Tax return of the past two years with a minimum gross income of INR 200000 per annum or investments amounting to INR 500000 or above in the form of fixed deposits in banks or post office.

3. Invitation from immediate family member residing in UAE on a family basis

Parents above the age of 60 AND/OR children under the age of 21 and spouse can be invited under this criteria.

How to Apply for Dubai Visa for Indians

One can apply for a visa to Dubai by visiting the nearest visa application centre with all the necessary documents, or you could consult your travel agent who can get the visa done for you. There is also an option for applying online for which one will have to follow the steps below -
  • Visit Emirates website and retrieve your booking.
  • Clicking on the “Apply for UAE visa” link will redirect you to the VFS page.
  • Proceed by accepting the terms and conditions, where you will be asked to select the itinerary for which you require the visa and some necessary information along with details of co-passengers, if any, for applying the visa for them as well.
  • On the next page, you are supposed to provide your email Id along with the relationship you share with the secondary applicants.
  • The applicant will receive an email with a hyperlink to the application form, where he/she will have to fill it and upload the necessary documents. The documents of each applicant must be uploaded sequentially.
  • After all the documents of the applicants are filled, the payment can be made using credit/debit card. Only Visa and Mastercard are accepted. The applicant will get a confirmation mail on successful payment.

There are various types of Dubai Visa For Indians as per the duration of stay and multiple entries for Indian nationals to acquire based on the trip they take to the Emirate of Dubai. Sometimes travel tickets need to be provided based on the type of your visit to Dubai.

1. 48 hours Visa

This visa is valid for two days, and it will be ideal for people who will be visiting Dubai for business meetings and long layover periods. It is a single entry visa and requires you to produce your to and fro tickets. The entry validity is 30 days from the date of issue of the Visa.
Visa Fees: Normal - INR 820 (AED 42)               
                Express - INR 2440 (AED 125)   

Cancellation fee: INR 2220 (AED 114)

2. 96 hours Visa

This single entry visa is valid for travellers who plan to stay in the UAE for fewer than four days. It is an ideal visa for people who are visiting the country for business meetings and taking stopovers en route their further journey.
Visa Fees: Normal - INR 1850 (AED 95)
                Express - INR 3460 (AED 177)       
Cancellation fee: INR 2220 (AED 114)

3. 14 days Visa

This type of visa is for people who visit the country for a trip. It is a single-entry, non-extendable visa valid for 14 days. The entry validity of the visa is 14 days from the date of issue.
Visa Fees: Normal - INR 8060 (AED 413)   
                Express - INR 9675 (AED 495)   
Cancellation fee: INR 2220 (AED 114)

4. 30 days Visa / Tourist Visa (Duration of stay)

The Tourist Visa is preferred by people who will be visiting their families and will be sight-seeing in the UAE. It is a single-entry Visa with an entry validity of 58 days and can be extended twice for 30 days each.
Visa Fees: Normal - INR 5840 (AED 299) 
                Express - INR 7455 (AED 382) 
Extension fee: INR 16600 (AED 850)   
Cancellation fee: INR 2220 (AED 114)

5. 90 days Visa (Duration of stay)

People who plan to visit friends/family or have to stay for an extended period can acquire this single-entry Dubai Visa For Indians. Applicants must provide a letter stating their purpose of the visit and have to provide two separate local contacts along with their Photo ID cum address proof. If the applicant is an unaccompanied young person or a woman travelling alone, it is mandatory to provide a pre-approval from immigration.
Visa Fees: INR 14175 (AED 726)   
Extension fee: INR 16600 (AED 850)   
Cancellation fee: INR 2220 (AED 114)

6. 30 days Visa (Multiple entries)

This Visa is for people who keep commuting to different places very frequently. It allows the visa holder to travel to UAE multiple times, for 30 days from the first visit. The entry validity of the visa is 58 days and can be extended twice for 30 days each. Multiple entry visa once utilised cannot be cancelled.
Visa Fees: INR 13660 (AED 700)   
Extension fee: INR 16600 (AED 850)

7. 90 days Visa (Multiple entries)

This is for travellers who will have to visit UAE repeatedly over longer stints of time. It enables the traveller to enter the country multiple times over 90 days, from the first entry into the UAE. Applicants will have to state the purpose of travel and provide a letter stating the self-guarantee of exiting Dubai within the validity period. Unaccompanied students and women under the age of 25 must provide pre-approvals from immigration. Multiple entry visa once utilised cannot be cancelled, and the holder must await expiry.
Visa Fees: INR 34300 (AED 1756)   
Extension fee: INR 16600 (AED 850)
