Set on the banks of the Hajar mountains, these rock pools unfurl themselves, paving its way through the rocky mountain surface. The water is extremely clear and the color of the water is a beautiful shade of blue – turquoise. If you hike through the hills, you might even come across springs that have yet not been found.

The most attractive part of Hatta Rock Pools is swimming ones way through the rocky mountains. The water gets very deep after a particular point where it reaches a bit of an opening, away from the hideous mountains. However, the water is so cool and clear that you can even see various kinds of fish swimming along.

How To Reach Hatta Rock Pools

Hatta is situated amidst the rocky and barren mountains of Hajar. However, the Hatta rock pools are situated across the border into the country of Oman. You always need to carry an Emirates ID, or a passport along with your Visa, to visit this place.

You can take a car or go mountain biking to this place. Earlier one had to walk the last 5 km stretch to reach the final site. It is a 2 and half hour drive from the main city. The drive amidst nature being flanked with mountains on both sides is indeed extremely beautiful experience in itself.
