Auroville Beach, also known as the Auro Beach is located north of the city centre. It is a part of the Auroville Ashram and attracts a lot of foreign tourists and locals alike. The beach does not have a lot of establishments that provide food. The Ashram has maintained its serenity and ensured that it is not tampered or changed a lot due to human encroachment.

Paradise Beach, also known as Plage Paradiso, is situated in Chunnambar, close to Pondicherry town. To reach the beach, one can take a ferry across the backwaters, which takes around 20-30 minutes. The beautiful ferry ride from the boathouse along the backwaters on the way to the beach covers green and thick mangrove forests. There are a few shacks along the main entrance to the beach, and you can get fresh coconut water and some simple snacks.

Location: 12 Km from the city centre, south of Panambur port. Ferries transport tourists to the beach and back. One can also drive or ride to the beach which takes about 30 mins.
Located on the outskirts on Puducherry in Kottakuppam, Serenity Beach gets its name from the Spa-Resort-Inn located at the spot with the same name. Originally, the beach was called Thanthirayan Kuppam Beach or plain Kottakuppam Beach. Boasting of tranquillity and sun-kissed sands, the beach is a gorgeous getaway from the city. The shoreline is lined with a trail of rocks and dotted with sea-facing resorts ideal for honeymooners.

Promenade Beach is a famous stretch of beachfront that extends for 1.2 km from War Memorial to the Dupleix Park on the Goubert Ave, in the city of Puducherry, India. The beach is often crowded with groups of people playing volleyball, jogging, walking, skating, yoga. Due to the beach being rocky, swimming is generally prohibited.
