Situated amongst sky-scrapping hills, Wayanad is a must visit for any mountain lover. I visited Wayanad in the month of March when the weather was extremely pleasant. The place favours those who want to unwind and just enjoy the landscape after a taxing week. My friends and I decided to do night camping at Black Eagles Camp which I would recommend to all and sundry. As hills have very limited offerings for tourist attractions, the point of visiting Wayanad rests in enjoying nature in the from of morning treks, afternoon souvenir shopping, and evening bonfires. One can also undertake activities like bamboo rafting and zip lining, which even though are not the best out there, prove a fun way to spend time with your dear ones.
- I didn't like the caves so much honestly, but the resorts in Wayanad are pretty good. Go there when you're looking to relax at a resort.
Hills,Dead ends,Hair pin curves,Peak points,Forest ride,Plantations,Waterfalls, Caves,Islands,History above all Nature at reachable hand is what Wayanad is all about.I prefer it to be one of the best biker destination when you think of Kerala ..
Edakkal caves is my all time fav.Its little hectic since you need to walk/climb around 600-700 m from parking area to ticket counter. So keep your energy high and keep it for early morning after heavy breakfast.Don't forget to enjoy while climbing because its not about destination but its all about how u reach it.
They say you need to drive deep to see the actual nature that's what it is.Well maintained ,less dangerous and actually it's easy to stand below waterfalls and experience the peace...No doubt you need lot of energy when you are coming back from that place..It will take half a day of your plan.Make sure you keep it for noon.
Kuruva dweep is best for family outing there is nothing much interesting since it takes your whole day event. If you love playing in water go for it.Entry fees 80 Rs for adults.Food in nearby hotels is very tasty and affordable. Try out river fish and don't miss bamboo rice payasam...

I have heard Wayanad is very beautiful. Which season should I go in to have the best experience?
Wayanad is a perfect tour at any time of the year. But taking our convenience into consideration, monsoon season will be best with not too sunny and without much rainfall. So September to February will be convenient time to visit Wayanad. If possible plan for a road trip to maximise your fun. :)

I want to spend the time in wayanadu from Coimbatore, where to start and come here and stay
There are no direct buses, trains, or flights from Coimbatore to Wayanad. Your best option is to drive down or hire a taxi, which should cost about INR 4,000. Wayanad has many cosy homestays and comfortable resorts. Please refer to the Hotels Tab above for more information on places to stay in Wayanad.
