Tara Devi Temple, Shimla Overview
Tara Devi Temple sits atop a hill about 7 km from Shimla, built in 1766 and dedicated to Goddess Tara, worshipped here as the goddess of stars. It's a quieter, more spiritual stop than Shimla's more visited temples, with a special puja held during Ashtami in Sharad Navratri drawing larger crowds. The climb up is part of the experience, with views over the surrounding hills.
