Mankameshwar Temple Legend

According to Hindu myth, the site of the present Mankameshwar Mandir was a holy site of serenity visited by Lakshman after leaving off Sita at exile. It is the same place that King Navdhanu constructed this temple many years later.

However, the Mankameshwar Mandir was completely ruined during the 1100s by the conquerors from Yemen. The temple was further reconstructed about five centuries ago by the Naga monks.
